This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions and explains, in plain terms, how billing, cancellation and refunds actually work for RecallNote Pro.
Billing & Renewal
RecallNote Pro is a monthly subscription that renews automatically on the same date each month until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, acting as the merchant of record for your purchase.
Cancellation
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings, or through the billing portal linked there. Cancelling stops future renewals - you keep Pro access for the rest of the billing period you already paid for, and your account moves to the Free plan when that period ends. Cancelling on its own does not refund any past charge.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available only if there is no AI credit or storage usage and requested within 7 days of the charge. No refunds are issued for violations of our Terms or Policies, for purchased top-ups, or for partial usage once the account has been used. We honor this up to twice per account in any 12-month period.
How to Request a Refund
There is no self-service refund button. To request one, email support@recallnote.online from the address on your account within 7 days of the charge. We will check eligibility and let you know the outcome; approved refunds are typically returned to your original payment method within 3-5 business days after we process them.
What Happens to Your Account
An approved refund ends your subscription immediately - it does not wait until the end of the billing period. Your account moves to the Free plan and Pro access is revoked as soon as the refund is processed, so you keep the money and the access for the same period of time.
EU, EEA & UK Withdrawal Right
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services, separate from the goodwill exception above. Because RecallNote is made available immediately on payment, at checkout you can ask us to begin providing the Service straight away and acknowledge that doing so ends your withdrawal right for the portion of the Service already provided to you.
AI Credit & Storage Top-Ups
One-time AI credit top-ups and recurring storage top-ups are billed separately from the Pro subscription and are not covered by the refund exception above - purchasing a top-up makes the related Pro charge ineligible for that exception too, since it shows the subscription was actively used. You can cancel a recurring storage top-up at any time from your account settings; it stops at the end of the period you already paid for.
Chargebacks & Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, please email us first so we can resolve it directly - it is faster than a bank dispute and avoids dispute fees on both sides. Filing a chargeback with your bank before contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
