Morning inbox brief
Weekdays at 8:00 AM“Summarize my unread Gmail from the last day and flag anything that needs a reply.”
A routine is a request that runs on a schedule - a Monday recap, a morning inbox brief - and leaves you a summary of what it found.
Say what you want done, the same way you'd ask in chat - or ask chat to set it up for you.
Hourly, daily, on weekdays, on chosen days of the week, or monthly - in your timezone.
Each run leaves a write-up on the routine's page, with when it last ran and when it runs next.
Pick how often it runs and at what time. Routines follow your timezone, so 9 AM means your 9 AM.
Uses your browser's timezone - or pick anotherA routine can do anything you'd ask in chat - including in the apps you've connected.
“Summarize my unread Gmail from the last day and flag anything that needs a reply.”
“Sum up everything I saved last week, grouped by folder.”
“List my Google Tasks that are still open, overdue ones first.”
“Find the receipts I saved last month and total them up by category.”
“Check the Launch folder in Google Drive and tell me what changed today.”
“Look through my memories and flag any two that disagree.”
Routines are part of Pro. Each time a routine runs counts as one.
A run uses credits like a chat does. Out of credit? That run is skipped, and the schedule carries on.
Stop a routine for a while without losing it, or remove it for good.
Create routines on the Routines page, or just ask in chat.
Plans and credits are covered on the pricing page.
